The base fabric is Jersey Knit with Cotton Feel - Atenas, with a composition of 81% polyester, 15% acrylic, and 4% elastane, with a weight of 239 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The plain printed color is Silk Blue, with a CMYK of 72 34 2 0. This color conveys peace, serenity, and tranquility, and is ideal for clothing, due to its relaxing tone. It pairs very well with light colors, such as white, beige, and light gray, and also with stronger tones, such as turquoise green, pink, and purple.
It is important to note that this fabric is printed with the plain color on one side only using digital textile printing, which means that the ink has been applied to only one side of the fabric. Therefore, this is not a dyed fabric, but rather printed.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are softness to the touch and elasticity, which makes it very comfortable for daily wear. The plain color has great durability due to the digital textile printing process used in its manufacturing. Furthermore, it does not fade easily over time and with washing.
Among the many applications and uses of this fabric, lingerie, pajamas, sweaters, tops, knitwear, dresses, cardigans, blankets, napkins, socks, scarves, and foulards stand out. Ideally, this fabric is suitable for making fashion accessories and clothing for winter or autumn/winter 2021.
It is important to keep in mind some care instructions to maintain the quality of this fabric for a long time. It should not be bleached and should not be washed at temperatures above 30ºC. Dry cleaning is recommended, but if hand washing is desired, it should be done gently and without excessive rubbing. Ironing should be at a cool temperature, and it should not be tumble dried.
This fabric has been manufactured using sublimation printing technology (polyester). This technique involves transferring ink to the fabric through the use of pressure and heat. The ink turns into gas to permanently adhere to the fabric fibers, thus creating the desired print pattern. This process produces a sharp and durable finish, ideal for mass production of custom fabrics.
