The base fabric is the Punto Roma Elástico - Lyon, a knitted fabric composed of 97% polyester and 3% elastane, with a weight of 282 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its plain color is Midnight Black, with a CMYK of 71 64 76 83. This color is characterized by being deep and mysterious, giving an elegant and sophisticated look to garments. It combines especially well with metallic shades such as gold and silver, but also with other dark colors such as gray and navy blue.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means that it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. The digital printing process allows high quality and precision in designs, as well as the possibility of printing complex images or motifs with multiple colors.
Regarding general characteristics, the base fabric stands out for having a soft texture and a pleasant feel to the touch with the skin. It is elastic and comfortable to wear, making it ideal for fitted and body-hugging garments. In addition, its composition allows the fabric to be resistant and durable, maintaining its shape and color after several washes.
The applications and uses of Punto Roma Elástico - Lyon are varied and extensive. It is mainly used in womens and mens fashion for making knitted garments such as tops, t-shirts, pants, dresses, and sweaters. It is also used in home textiles, especially for making napkins in dining rooms.
As for the care we should take into account for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach and wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. It allows dry cleaning, except with trichloroethylene, and can be ironed at a cold temperature. It cannot be tumble dried.
Finally, the printing technology with which this fabric is manufactured is polyester sublimation. This process consists of printing a digital image on special paper and transferring it to the fabric by heat and pressure, the ink penetrating the polyester fiber and ensuring optimal durability and resistance.
