The base fabric is the Punto Roma Elástico - Lyon, a knit fabric composed of 97% polyester and 3% elastane, with a weight of 282 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed is a lapis lazuli blue tone, created through the sublimation technique (polyester), with a cyan ink proportion of 100%, magenta of 87%, yellow of 25%, and black of 7%, which is reflected in the CMYK 100 87 25 7. The lapis lazuli blue color symbolizes wisdom and truth, and technically adds an elegant and sophisticated touch to any garment or textile project in which it is used. This color combines especially well with earth tones such as brown, beige, and terracotta, as well as with other shades of blue, such as sky blue and turquoise.
The fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing. It is important to note that this is a printed fabric and not dyed, which means that the color has not been absorbed by the threads of the fabric, but has been printed on the surface of the fabric.
The texture of the fabric is soft to the touch, thanks to the elastane that provides great elasticity and comfort when worn. Other attributes of the base fabric are its resistance and durability, which makes it ideal for everyday wear. As for the printed color, its resistance and durability are guaranteed thanks to the sublimation technique.
Among the applications and uses of the base fabric are knit garments for women and men, such as tops, t-shirts, pants, dresses, and sweaters. It can also be used for making dining napkins. As for the season, it is especially suitable for winter.
Regarding the care instructions, it is recommended to wash the fabric at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, iron it at a cool temperature, and do not tumble dry. It can also be dry cleaned, except with trichloroethylene.
Regarding printing technology, sublimation is a digital process in which the ink turns into gas when it comes into contact with the polyester of the fabric, thus penetrating the fibers and creating a durable result resistant to washing and sunlight. This process allows greater precision in color reproduction, as well as the possibility of printing complex and detailed designs.
