The base fabric is a Prada twill composed of 96% polyester and 4% elastane, with a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on the fabric is an iridescent purple, with a mixture of Cyan (75), Magenta (94), Yellow (15), and Black (5) inks in the CMYK model (75 94 15 5). This secondary color has an outstanding quality that makes it highly attractive: its ability to change tone depending on the light and the angle from which it is viewed. It is, therefore, a dynamic and versatile color. In terms of color combination, this iridescent purple pairs well with other pastel shades such as light pink, sky blue, and mint green.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side only, using digital textile printing, which means it is not a dyed fabric but a printed one. The texture and feel of the fabric are soft and delicate, with a characteristic thin finish typical of twills. The fabric is suitable for making womens and mens fashion garments such as shirts, skirts, blouses, dresses, and scarves.
Regarding care, this fabric should be washed at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, should not be bleached, accepts dry cleaning except with trichloroethylene, and ironing should be at a cool temperature. Furthermore, it should not be tumble dried.
Finally, it is interesting to highlight the printing technology used for the manufacture of this fabric, which is sublimation (polyester). Sublimation is a printing technique in which an inkjet printer is used to print on high-quality thermal transfer paper. Then, the transfer paper is placed on the fabric, and the image is transferred using heat and pressure. Sublimation is a durable and wear-resistant and wash-resistant technique that offers high image quality and great detail precision.
