The base fabric, Hydrophobic Antibacterial Fabric - Tromso, is a technical fabric made of 100% polyester with a weight of 160 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. It features a hydrophobic finish that makes it water-resistant, as well as a rough texture to the touch. The solid printed color, Onion Green, is obtained by using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks with a CMYK configuration of 56, 9, 94, and 1 respectively. This secondary color symbolizes the freshness and vitality of nature and is ideal for combining with earth tones, deep reds, and ochres.
It is important to note that the base fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means the design will only be present on one side of the fabric and it is not a dyed fabric but rather one-sided printed. The base fabric has characteristics such as an antibacterial finish, making it ideal for garments and accessories that require high hygiene. Additionally, its water resistance makes it perfect for outdoor applications such as sun loungers, cushions, and beach accessories. It is also suitable for fashion garments and interior decoration such as tablecloths and wall art.
The care instructions for this fabric are: do not bleach, do not use a temperature above 60ºC when washing, dry cleaning is allowed except with trichloroethylene, it can be ironed at a warm temperature, and it should not be tumble dried. It is important to follow these instructions to preserve the fabric in the best possible condition.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester). This process involves transferring the color design to the base fabric using heat and pressure, causing the pigments to fuse with the fabric to achieve a durable print resistant to wear and washing. Furthermore, this technology allows for a wide range of colors and exceptional detail definition in the printed designs.
