The base fabric, Velvety Corduroy - Dublin, is a corduroy made of 85% polyester, 12% polyamide, and 3% elastane, with a weight of 280 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed is Dark Red, with a CMYK of 25 85 100 21. This color refers to a dark shade of intense red, giving it a strong personality. Due to its composition, the corduroy has a soft and visually shiny texture, which adds a touch of elegance to this color. Dark red combines spectacularly with neutral tones such as gray, cream, or beige, but also with shades like gold, mustard, and pale yellow.
It is important to note that the base fabric is digitally printed with the solid color on one side only. This means that the printed color is only on one side of the fabric, allowing for high precision in color application.
The general characteristics of the base fabric and the printed solid color are softness to the touch and visual brilliance, which gives elegance and sophistication to any item made with this fabric. In addition, corduroy is a strong and resistant fabric, making it perfect for upholstering furniture or making high-quality garments.
The base fabric has a wide list of applications and uses, such as furniture decoration, upholstery of chairs, armchairs, or sofas. It can also be used in fashion, for garments such as trousers, overshirts, jackets, blazers, bomber jackets, or vests. As for accessories, this fabric is perfect for creating bags or backpacks. In the textile/home sector, it can be used for making cushions for bedrooms, living rooms, or kitchens, as well as for creating storage baskets.
Regarding care, it is important not to bleach the fabric and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. The garment is not suitable for dry cleaning but dry cleaning is allowed except for trichloroethylene. Ironing should be done at a low temperature and it is not suitable for tumble drying.
The printing technology for the Velvety Corduroy - Dublin base fabric is sublimation. This process consists of transferring ink from paper to fabric using heat and pressure, which ensures high fidelity in color application and high precision in design reproduction. This process is ideal for high-quality and long-lasting prints.
