Glasgow cloth is a fabric composed of 93% Polyester, 5% Viscose, and 2% Elastane, with a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on this fabric is a purple Lavender, which is composed of a combination of CMYK inks: 35 Cyan, 41 Magenta, 13 Yellow, and 1 Black. This secondary color is characterized by being soft and delicate, conveying an air of tranquility and purity. It can be perfectly combined with neutral tones, such as grey and white, to create an elegant and sober atmosphere.
This fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means that the design is only on one side of the fabric and is not dyed but printed using digital technology. The fabrics texture is soft to the touch, providing a high level of comfort. The printed color is of high quality and resistant to washing and sunlight.
Among the applications and uses of Glasgow cloth are the making of high-quality garments such as coats, trench coats, jackets, vests, and blazers for men and women. In addition, it is used as fabric for altars, coasters, and kitchen towels in the home. This fabric is ideal for the winter or autumn/winter 2021 season due to its weight and composition.
The care instructions for washing this fabric are: do not bleach, wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not dry clean, iron at a warm temperature, and avoid using tumble dryers, as this can affect the quality of the material.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which is a process in which the design is printed on a sheet of paper and then transferred to the fabric using heat and pressure. This technology allows the design to fuse with the fabric, creating a durable and high-quality result.
