Glasgow cloth is a broadcloth fabric composed mainly of polyester, viscose, and elastane, with a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its deep mauve pink color, impressed with a CMYK ink of 16 53 5 0, combines very well with neutral tones such as white, black, and gray, as well as with pastel shades like light pink and lavender. It is worth noting that the fabric is printed on one side by digital textile printing.
It is designed with a soft texture, which makes it ideal for winter and autumn garments, as well as for various uses in the home. The fabric is resistant and durable, offering the possibility of using it to make jackets, coats, and blazers for both men and women. In addition, its use for altars, coasters, and kitchen cloths is an ideal option due to its versatility of applications.
Regarding care, for Glasgow cloth it is important to note that it should not be bleached, its machine wash should be at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and ironing should be done at a warm temperature. The garment cannot be dry cleaned or tumble dried.
The printing technology for this fabric is polyester sublimation. This process involves transferring ink from sublimation paper, impregnated with sublimation ink, to the surface of the fabric using heat and pressure. The ink turns into gas, penetrating the pores of the fabric, which ensures that the printed image is durable and resistant to fading.
