The base fabric, known as Paño - Glasgow, is composed of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane, with a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its plain printed color features shades of pink and burnt pink, achieved by a mix of 19% Cyan ink, 100% Magenta ink, 35% Yellow ink, and 9% Black ink in its printing process. This secondary color symbolizes delicacy, femininity, and elegance, and pairs perfectly with neutral tones such as gray and black, but also with stronger shades like dark blue or green.
It is important to note that the base fabric of this textile is printed with the plain color on only one side by digital textile printing, so this must be considered when working with it to achieve the desired result. In terms of its characteristics, this fabric is soft to the touch and has a texture that makes it ideal for outerwear such as jackets, coats, and trench coats. Furthermore, its use is not limited to fashion, as it can also be used in the home as coasters or kitchen towels.
Among the applications and uses attributed to this fabric are those mentioned above, but it is also used in the manufacture of bomber jackets, vests, and blazers, as well as in the textile industry for making altar cloths. In winter and autumn/winter, this fabric finds more demand due to its thickness and thermal insulation it provides.
It is important to highlight that, to maintain its quality and durability, this fabric requires certain specific care. It is not recommended to bleach it or use dry cleaning, ironing should be at a warm temperature, and it should not be tumble dried.
The printing technology used for the manufacture of this fabric is polyester sublimation, which allows the colors to adhere to the fabric in a durable and wash-resistant manner, thus maintaining their original color and brightness. In summary, the Paño - Glasgow fabric printed with its plain burnt pink color is a high-quality and versatile material, combining elegance with functionality and requiring specific care to maintain its quality over time.
