The base fabric is a Glasgow cloth, mainly composed of polyester and viscose, with 2% elastane that provides adequate elasticity for outerwear. The fabric weight is 380 grams/m2 and its width is 150 cm. Regarding the color, it is a Corn Yellow, with a CMYK print of 4 3 66 0. This color is a spring yellow, evoking the golden wheat fields and the bright sun of Southern Europe. Yellow is an optimistic color that conveys joy and positive energy. It combines especially well with neutral tones such as gray, black, and white, but also with green, brown, and blue.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side only, using digital textile printing, which ensures great definition and sharpness of details. The texture of the fabric is soft, which makes it very pleasant to the touch and comfortable to wear. Glasgow cloth is characterized by being a resistant and durable fabric, which makes it suitable for textile applications in both fashion and home.
Among the applications and uses of the fabric, we can find everything from outerwear such as coats, jackets, and trench coats, to textile elements for the home such as coasters or kitchen towels. In addition, thanks to its resistance, this fabric is suitable for making altar cloths and other similar uses.
Regarding the care the fabric should have, it is important to note that it cannot be bleached or dry cleaned. The recommended washing temperature is 40ºC and it is suitable to iron it at a warm temperature. Finally, it should not be tumble dried.
The printing technology used for the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation (POLYESTER), which allows the transfer of ink onto the fabric fiber by means of heat and pressure. This process guarantees the fixation of the ink in the fabric and a high quality of the printed image. In addition, thanks to this technology, it is possible to obtain very vivid and bright colors in textile printing.
