The base fabric is a cloth called Glasgow, composed of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane. Its weight is 380 gr/m2 and it has a width of 150 cm. The solid printed color is a grayish battleship green with a CMYK of 42 26 36 8. This color combines especially well with neutral and gray tones, as well as with more daring colors like magenta and orange.
It is important to note that the base fabric is printed with the solid color on one side by digital textile printing. In addition, the texture of this fabric is soft to the touch, which gives it an elegant and comfortable look and feel.
Among the applications and uses of the fabric, its use in altars, coats, trench coats, jackets, and blazers for men and women stands out. It is also used in the home for making coasters and kitchen towels. The base fabric is especially suitable for use in winter and in autumn/winter 2021.
Regarding the care that should be taken for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not dry clean, and iron it at a warm temperature. It is also recommended not to tumble dry.
The printing process used to manufacture this fabric is known as sublimation (polyester), which refers to a technical process in which the ink transforms into vapor and penetrates the fibers of the fabric until it solidifies, achieving a durable and wash-resistant print. In short, the Glasgow fabric offers a wide variety of applications and is a suitable option for making garments and home decoration products, thanks to its soft texture, resistant composition, and durable printed finish.
