The base fabric, known as Synthetic Knit with Spandex - Support, is composed of 95% polyester and 5% elastane, which gives it great elasticity and a soft texture to the touch. With a weight of 237 gr/m2 and a width of 152 cm, this knit fabric is ideal for applications such as lingerie, womens and mens fashion, knitwear, accessories, and sportswear. Additionally, it is resistant and durable, making it a timeless and versatile fabric.
The solid color printed on the base fabric is a vibrant yellow-khaki, with an ink mixture of 8 for cyan, 2 for magenta, 51 for yellow, and no black ink. This hue provides an opaque and lively appearance, which perfectly complements colors such as black, white, gray, and brown. Furthermore, this blend of tones allows you to work on a wide variety of designs and prints, depending on the need or application.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, meaning the color is not dyed into the fabric but printed on one side only. Now, the general characteristics of the base fabric are its soft texture, elasticity, and visual opacity. On the other hand, the printed color boasts attributes such as brightness and intensity, resulting in a lively and colorful appearance.
Among the applications and uses of this base fabric, we can mention lingerie, bodysuits, bras/bralettes, tops, knitwear, accessories, sportswear, scrunchies, and hair ties. Furthermore, its versatility and durability make it ideal for creating a wide variety of designs and patterns for womens, mens, and childrens fashion.
Regarding fabric care, it is important to avoid bleaching it and wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, in addition to dry cleaning, always recommended except when trichloroethylene is involved. Ironing should be done at a cool temperature on the reverse side of the fabric, and tumble drying is not recommended.
Finally, for printing this base fabric, sublimation technology (polyester) is used, a digital printing process that uses heat to transfer ink from coated transfer paper to the desired object, in this case, the fabric. This process ensures that the print is high quality, durable, and resistant to washing and wear.
