The base fabric, Satin - Amsterdam, is a 100% polyester satin of 120 gr/m2 and 150 cm width. The solid color printed is Baby Blue with a CMYK of 37 16 20 1. This secondary color is a soft and delicate version of blue, suggesting tranquility and serenity. It combines well with light and pastel colors such as dusty pink, lilac, and cream.
This fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, meaning the design is printed directly onto the fabric. Although digital textile printing does not change the fabrics structure, its important to note that the fabric is not dyed but printed on one side.
Among the characteristics of the base fabric, its shiny appearance and smooth, thin feel stand out. The printing technology used allows for high definition of the printed designs details and colors.
Satin - Amsterdam is used in a wide range of applications, from womens and mens fashion such as shirts, blouses, jumpsuits, skirts, trousers, and tops to accessories like scarves. It is also suitable for lingerie such as pajamas, dresses, and bridal wear, as well as other uses like kimonos. Its softness and shine make it a popular choice for elegant and sophisticated garments.
To maintain the fabrics quality and preservation, it is recommended not to bleach, wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, iron at a warm temperature, and tumble dry at a reduced temperature. The fabric can be dry cleaned except for trichloroethylene.
The printing technology used in the manufacturing of Satin - Amsterdam is sublimation (polyester), which allows the design to be transferred from paper to fabric through contact and heat. This method provides excellent definition of the printed designs colors and details, as well as high durability of the fabric.
