The base fabric, Amsterdam Satin/Sateen, is a polyester fabric with a shiny visual texture and a smooth, thin feel. The solid color printed is Corn Yellow with a CMYK of 9 3 50 0, which indicates that its main component is yellow, followed by a touch of cyan and magenta to create a warmer, brighter yellow.
This secondary color, Corn Yellow, is a cheerful and vibrant color that evokes a sense of happiness and energy. It pairs particularly well with natural tones like beige and brown to create a warm and inviting color palette, and with more vivid tones like pink and orange to create interesting and dynamic contrasts.
It is important to mention that this fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means it does not have a specific dye layer but is printed directly onto the fabric.
Regarding its general characteristics, Amsterdam Satin/Sateen base fabric is ideal for making blouses, skirts, pants, and other fashion accessories. In addition, it is a popular choice for lingerie, such as pajamas and dresses, and also for bridal wear like kimonos and tops. Its weight of 120 gr/m2 and width of 150 cm make it an easy fabric to handle and comfortable to wear.
It is important to note that to care for this fabric, it is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and iron it at a warm temperature. Do not bleach and dry cleaning is allowed except with trichloroethylene. It can also be tumble dried at a reduced temperature.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which allows for the printing of complex and detailed designs with vibrant and durable colors. This process uses heat and pressure to transfer the ink to the polyester fabric, creating a fused effect in the fabric and a soft, durable finish.
