The base fabric is Amsterdam Satin, a 100% polyester satin/raso weave with a weight of 120 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The plain printed color is a yellow tone with a hint of mac and cheese, according to CMYK 10 15 34 0. The color is vibrant and perfect for any project requiring a touch of joy and dynamism.
Yellow is associated with creativity, happiness, and joy. The hint of mac and cheese adds a bit of depth and interest to the plain color, making it more visually appealing. It pairs well with red, orange, and green tones, creating bright and bold color combinations.
It is worth noting that the fabric is digitally printed on one side only, meaning the ink is printed only on one side of the fabric and does not penetrate the fiber. This allows for a soft and flexible finish on the printed side, maintaining color quality.
The characteristics of the base fabric include a visual sheen and a soft, smooth texture to the touch. The fabric is thin and lightweight, making it ideal for fashion and lingerie, although it can also be used for accessories and decoration. It can be used in both womens and mens garments, which expands its possibilities.
Amsterdam Satin fabric has various applications, including womens and mens fashion in shirts, blouses, jumpsuits, skirts, and pants. It is also used for lingerie, such as pajamas and dresses, with the option of being a bridal fabric. Additionally, it can be used for making accessories, such as scarves and kimonos. The season is timeless, although it may be more suitable for Autumn/Winter 2021.
It is important to consider the fabric care instructions: it should not be bleached, the maximum washing temperature should be 40ºC, dry cleaning is allowed, it should be ironed at a warm temperature, and it can be tumble-dried at a reduced temperature.
The printing technology used is polyester sublimation, which is performed by transferring ink to a sheet of paper through heat and pressure. This paper is then placed on the fabric and the image is printed using heat and pressure, so that the ink transfers to the fabric fibers. The advantage of sublimation is that the color is durable, wear-resistant, and does not fade easily.
