The base fabric for the textile in question is Satin - Amsterdam, a 100% polyester Satin/Duchess fabric with a weight of 120 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed is a canary yellow with a CMYK of 12 1 90 0. This color transmits energy and vitality, evoking light and sun. Furthermore, canary yellow combines perfectly with blue, green, and violet tones, providing contrast and balance.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color only on one side, using digital textile printing, which allows for a wide range of colors and designs. The texture of the fabric is shiny and smooth to the touch, which enhances and gives movement to the garment made with it.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are its shiny and smooth texture, which facilitates its use in haute couture and lingerie garments due to its elegance and sophistication. The fabric is also ideal for making blouses, skirts, pants, and tops. In addition, being composed of polyester, it is a fabric resistant to wear and deformation, which guarantees greater durability in the garments made.
Regarding the care instructions for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach and to wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. Furthermore, dry cleaning is allowed, excluding the use of trichloroethylene. Ironing should be done at a warm temperature, and direct sun exposure should be avoided. The fabric can also be tumble dried at a reduced temperature.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation. This ink transfer printing process produces a permanent image resistant to washing and wear on the fabric surface. During the sublimation process, the inks turn into gas and fuse with the fabric fibers, creating a vibrant and durable color. Being printed on one side only, the color remains sharp and uniform, without transferring to the other side of the fabric.
