The base fabric, Fine Water-Repellent Fabric - Storm, is a technical fabric composed of 100% POLYESTER. It has a light weight of 70gr/m2 and a width of 145cm. The printed solid color, Whale Blue, is a combination of 83% Cyan ink, 71% Magenta ink, 26% Yellow ink, and 10% Black ink, which creates a dark blue tone similar to a whale in the ocean. The secondary color is a reflection of the ocean, giving the fabric a fresh and calm touch. It complements well with neutral tones such as white or black and warmer tones such as yellow or orange.
The fabric is printed with the solid color on one side only using digital textile printing, which means that only one side of the fabric shows the printed design, which can be used to create jackets, shower curtains, and raincoats. The back of the fabric is plain, allowing for greater flexibility when designing and sewing garments.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are that it is waterproof and water-repellent, making it perfect for use in outerwear. It is also thin and smooth to the touch, allowing for great mobility when wearing garments made with it. The printed solid color has an opaque finish that gives it an elegant look.
Among the applications and uses of the fabric are fashion, for both women and men, in jackets and raincoats. It can also be used in home textiles, specifically in shower curtains. The fabric is used in the winter season due to its water-resistant composition and its ability to keep warm.
Fabric care includes not bleaching the fabric, washing at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, not dry cleaning, ironing at a cool temperature, and not tumble drying. It is essential to follow these care instructions to maintain the quality of the fabric durably.
The printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation (POLYESTER). This technology uses an inkjet printer to transfer the ink directly to the fabric. The fabric is subjected to high temperatures and pressures to allow the ink to set on the fabric and fuse into the fabric. This results in a high-quality, water-resistant fabric with a vibrant and durable design.
