The base fabric is the Brushed Sweatshirt Fabric - Boston, composed of 100% polyester with a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a width of 160 cm. The solid color printed is a combination of pink and brown, reflected in CMYK with a cyan ink of 13, magenta of 46, yellow of 33, and black of 2. This secondary color symbolizes the delicacy of pink and the strength of brown, which gives it versatility capable of functioning as a warm or cool color depending on what you want to convey. The pink-brown combines especially well with white, grey, and beige, making it a particularly suitable color for sportswear within that same palette.
The base fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, meaning the printed color is present on only one side of the fabric. The fabric is not dyed but digitally printed, which provides great sharpness and faithful color reproduction.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are its brushed finish, which gives it greater softness and warmth, and its GRS certification and sustainability through recycling. Regarding the solid printed color, its attributes are its equal parts delicacy and strength, which gives it great versatility in fashion for women, men, and children.
The Brushed Sweatshirt Fabric - Boston has multiple applications and uses, such as womens/mens fashion in sweatshirts or sporty items like tracksuits or childrens sweatshirts. Additionally, it is also suitable for making toiletry bags and accessories such as backpacks. Its ideal season for use is winter and autumn/winter, 2021.
For proper maintenance and care, the fabric should not be bleached, it allows a maximum washing temperature of 40º C, it allows dry cleaning except with trichloroethylene, and it does not allow ironing. For drying, a tumble dryer can be used at a reduced temperature.
The printing technology used in the manufacture of this fabric is sublimation (polyester), a printing process that applies ink through a digital printer onto transfer paper, which is then transferred to the polyester using a heat press. This process offers many advantages, such as high resistance to light and washing.
