Chanel tweed is a 100% polyester tweed fabric with a weight of 420 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid printed color has a CMYK of 36 21 17 1 with shades of gray and bluish gray. This secondary color is elegant, sophisticated, and versatile, and combines very well with neutral and pastel tones, as well as with vibrant colors like red and green. The fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which means that the color is printed on the surface of the fabric and has not been dyed.
The texture of Chanel tweed is stiff to the touch, making it ideal for structured and medium-weight garments such as jackets, blazers, coats, skirts, dresses, and bomber jackets. It can also be used for cushions in the living room and bedroom, as well as for accessories such as bow ties and caps. Chanel tweed is a timeless fabric ideal for Autumn/Winter 2021.
Regarding the care of Chanel tweed, it is recommended not to bleach it and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. It can be dry cleaned except with trichloroethylene, and it should be ironed at a cool temperature. It cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used in Chanel tweed is sublimation, a technique that allows printing high-quality and durable images on synthetic fabrics such as polyester. Printing is done using heat and pressure so that the ink goes from a solid to a gaseous state and adheres permanently to the surface of the fabric. This printing method ensures that the color remains vibrant and durable over time.
