The base fabric is Tweed-Chanel, a tweed fabric made entirely of polyester with a weight of 420gr/m2 and a width of 150cm. The plain printed color is a combination of pink and deep mauve, achieved through digital textile printing using the sublimation technique. The plain color composition is 16% cyan ink, 53% magenta ink, 5% yellow ink, and 0% black ink, resulting in a CMYK of 16 53 5 0.
The secondary color adds an emotional and delicate touch to the base fabric. Mauve is a color perceived as a mixture of red and blue that evokes spirituality, mysticism, magic, and fantasy. Furthermore, pink symbolizes femininity and sweetness, generating a feeling of tenderness and softness. The secondary color combines perfectly with other chemical tones such as green, orange, and dark blue, although its affinity with beige and off-white tones would also stand out.
The fabric is single-sided printed using digital textile printing technology with plain color, meaning that the color is only on the surface of the fabric and does not penetrate the inner fibers as in dyed fabrics. This allows for greater precision in design definition and excellent print quality.
The base fabric has a rigid texture and a dry feel that makes it ideal for use in outerwear such as jackets, blazers, coats, or trenches, as well as for making skirts, dresses, bomber jackets, shorts, bow ties, and caps. In home textiles, it can be used for making cushions for the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. It is a timeless fabric, but especially suitable for the autumn/winter season.
Regarding care and maintenance, it is recommended not to bleach the fabric and to use a maximum washing temperature of 30°C. It can be dry cleaned, excluding any procedure with trichloroethylene, and ironed at a low temperature.
The printing technique used for the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation, where the ink turns into gas at high temperatures, penetrating the polyester fibers and creating a vibrant and durable image. Thanks to this technique, high quality and definition are obtained in the designs, even allowing photographic images to be reproduced with great precision.
