Se trata de un tejido con relieve y al ser impreso presenta fuerza de color en las fibras más externas quedando en su color natural las fibras internas. Puede presentar pequeñas trazas, hilos o borra dada su naturaleza reciclada y cuya aparición, aunque se de en un % bajo de ocasiones, es totalmente arbitraria e inevitable. |
The base fabric of the Tweed-Chanel weave is a type of tweed made of 100% polyester with a weight of 420 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on this fabric is a macaroni and cheese yellow, obtained using sublimation printing technology. This shade conveys warmth and brightness, and combines very well with colors such as light brown, olive green, or beige.
Regarding the characteristics, the fabric has a rigid texture and a rough feel at first, but softens with use. The printed color has high durability, fade resistance, and grip. It is important to mention that the printing is done on only one side of the fabric, so this should be taken into account when making garments that require visibility on both sides.
The applications and uses for this fabric are broad and varied. Its texture and rigidity make it ideal for garments such as jackets, blazers, coats, skirts, dresses, blousons, shorts, and accessories like bow ties and caps. It can also be applied in decoration, being ideal for living room, bedroom, and kitchen cushions, as well as for outdoor use.
As for care, it is recommended to wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, and iron at low temperature. The fabric allows dry cleaning except for trichloroethylene.
Sublimation printing technology is a technique used to print designs on polyester garments and other synthetic materials. The process consists of applying ink onto specialized transfer paper, which is then placed on the fabric and subjected to high temperatures and pressure so that the ink sublimes into the fabric. This process allows for high-quality, durable, and wash-and-wear resistant results.
