The base fabric is the Waterproof - Outdoor Fabric, a technical fabric made of 100% polyester, with a weight of 200 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. This fabric comes in a plain color printed with sublimation technology in shades of Ecru and PaleGoldenRod, with a mix of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, represented in a CMYK of 12 6 33 0. The secondary color PaleGoldenRod is a golden yellow tone that symbolizes happiness and optimism. This color pairs particularly well with warm colors such as red, orange, and brown.
The fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means it is not a dyed fabric but only printed on one of its sides. The characteristics of the base fabric are distinguished by its waterproof finish that withstands extreme weather conditions, a grainy and rough texture both to the touch and sight, and a visual opacity that offers privacy if used in decoration or outdoor applications.
The printed color has an opaque and matte finish that perfectly matches the characteristics of the base fabric. Some common applications for this type of fabric are fashion, for both women and men, in garments such as trench coats and raincoats, as well as outdoor decoration with cushions, awnings, and dining tablecloths. With internal knowledge regarding applications and uses, we can also highlight its usefulness for making sportswear such as raincoats for women, men, and children.
It is important to consider the care instructions to maintain the properties of the fabric. Bleaching is not recommended, nor is dry cleaning, and cold ironing is preferred, along with the absence of a tumble dryer.
Finally, the printing technology used is polyester sublimation. Sublimation is a technique used to print designs on synthetic fabrics like polyester. It involves printing the image on paper with special inks that are transferred by heat and pressure onto the fabric through the gas generated in the sublimation process. This technique ensures a durable print that is resistant to washing and wear.
