The base fabric is the Waterproof - Outdoor Fabric, a technical fabric composed of 100% polyester, with a weight of 200 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. As for the plain printed color, it is a denim blue tone, with a content of 36 in cyan ink, 10 in magenta ink, 2 in yellow ink, and 0 in black ink, which translates to a CMYK of 36 10 2 0.
The denim blue color reflects a medium intense tone, resembling the denim of the most well-known jeans. This secondary tone is usually combined with other lighter or darker shades of blue, as well as with neutral colors, such as white and gray.
It should be noted that the base fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means that it is not a dyed fabric but rather printed on one side. Regarding its general characteristics, we can highlight that it has a waterproof finish, its texture to the touch is granular and rough, and its visual texture is opaque.
As for the applications and uses of the base fabric, we can highlight that it is a very versatile fabric, used for fashion (trench coats and raincoats for both women and men, as well as for home textiles in dining room tablecloths and outdoor decoration with cushions and awnings). It is an ideal fabric for garments that require protection against water and wind.
Regarding care, we must take into account that the garment cannot be dry cleaned, cannot be bleached, and should be ironed at a cool temperature. Furthermore, tumble drying is not recommended.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is polyester sublimation. This printing process allows the printed color to penetrate the fabric fibers, instead of remaining on the surface, making it more durable and resistant to fading and UV rays.
