This cotton-feel jersey knit fabric - Athens features a composition that blends polyester, acrylic, and elastane, achieving a soft and elastic texture against the skin. Additionally, it has a weight of 239 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, making it perfect for a wide variety of applications, from lingerie and pajamas to knitwear, accessories, and home textiles. Regarding the printed design, it is a vector pattern inspired by nature, combining the complexity of a stone with the simplicity of its multicolored palette. This single-sided design printed by digital textile printing could be combined with other plain colors such as black, brown, dark blue, or light gray, to create attractive and balanced combinations.
Some of the general characteristics that stand out in this fabric include its soft and elastic texture, which provides a feeling of comfort upon contact with the skin. On the other hand, the printed design is characterized by its simplicity and its inspiration from nature, making it perfect for decorative applications in both fashion garments and home textiles. As for the applications and uses of this fabric, some include its use in knitwear, for both women and men, as well as accessories such as scarves, stoles, and socks. It is also ideal for home textiles such as blankets, napkins, and cushions.
Regarding the care this fabric should receive, it is recommended to wash it in short cycles and at no more than 30ºC, without using bleach and without a dryer. In addition, low-temperature ironing is recommended, and dry cleaning is allowed except with trichloroethylene. It is important to follow these recommendations to ensure the durability and preservation of the fabric and its printed design.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is polyester sublimation, which allows the transfer of the design to the fabric with great precision and definition. This process is carried out by applying heat and pressure to the printed paper, which causes the ink to turn into gas and infiltrate the fibers of the fabric, achieving a perfect integration of the design into the fabric.
