The 220 gr/m2 Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo features a highly complex, mosaic-style printed design with multicolored tones and a shiny finish that reflects its soft and elastic texture. This design pairs perfectly with solid colors such as black, white, red, fuchsia, green, blue, and turquoise, allowing for great versatility and creativity in the confection of sportswear, lingerie, knitwear, swimwear, and general fashion. It is important to note that this fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side only.
Regarding the general characteristics of the fabric, it is important to mention that its composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane makes it chlorine-resistant and provides a very high UV protection factor of 50+. Additionally, its weight of 220 gr/m2 and width of 150 cm give it a soft and elastic feel, perfect for fitted and comfortable garments. As for the printed design, its complex and brilliant attributes provide a unique and attractive aesthetic.
In terms of the applications and uses of the fabric, in addition to those mentioned above, it is worth noting that its use is very common in the manufacture of scrunchies, a fashion accessory that has experienced a great boom recently. Likewise, its versatility extends to sportswear for women, men, and children.
For the care of the fabric, it is recommended not to bleach, wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, iron at a cool temperature, and avoid using tumble dryers. If dry cleaning is necessary, it is recommended to avoid the use of trichloroethylene.
Finally, it is important to highlight that the printing technology used in the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation (polyester), a method that allows for the creation of high-quality and durable designs on a wide range of fabrics and fibers.
