Glasgow brands Polyester fabric stands out for its high quality and its composition of 93% Polyester, 5% Viscose, and 2% Elastane, which give it a soft and pleasant texture to the touch. Its weight of 380 gr/m2 and its width of 150 cm make it ideal for use in outerwear and jackets, although it is also used in home decor, such as kitchen towels and coasters. This season, Glasgows Polyester fabric is available in highly complex and abstract printed designs. The main colors of the design are multicolor, allowing for a wide range of combinations with other solid colors.
The fabric is printed with the design on one side using digital textile printing, which means it is not a double-sided printed fabric, but rather printed on one side. This printing technique allows designs to be more precise and vibrant, increasing the quality of the final product.
General characteristics of Glasgows Polyester fabric include easy care thanks to its washing instructions: do not bleach, maximum temperature of 40ºC, do not dry clean, warm iron, and cannot be tumble dried. In addition, the fabric is very resistant and durable thanks to its composition and weight.
Regarding the fabrics attributes, in addition to the uses already mentioned, it can also be used in other home projects, such as making curtains and cushions. The highly complex and abstract printed design can be used for clothing items like blazers, jackets, and vests, and it also adapts to art and and craft projects.
As for printing technology, the sublimation process allows the design colors to be transferred directly to the fabric through a special ink that evaporates upon contact with the fabric. This guarantees high and durable print quality, resistant to fading and washing.
