The base fabric is Transparent Gauze - Salamanca, made of 100% polyester and with a weight of 28 gr/m2. Its width is 150 cm and it is designed for applications in fashion (brides, lingerie, skirts, childrens fashion), accessories (scarves) and sports (swimwear and sarongs). The fabric has a visually transparent texture and a delicate touch that makes it highly adaptable to different uses.
The solid color printed on this fabric is Sapphire Purple, with a CMYK of 91-68-0-0. This color is a deep purple hue that combines excellently with lighter shades of violet and lavender, as well as with darker shades of blue. The fact that the fabric is digitally printed on one side allows for impeccable color reproduction in different patterns and designs.
In terms of general characteristics, the base fabric has a unique thinness that allows for interesting transparency for fabrics such as lingerie or dresses. On the other hand, the solid printed color has high durability and perfectly resists the passage of time and washes.
The general applications and uses attributed to Transparent Gauze - Salamanca are lingerie, dresses, childrens fashion, accessories, sports, and especially for sarongs and swimsuits in summer. In addition, it is possible to use the fabric as a base for sublimation and image transfer applications.
Regarding the care that should be taken for this fabric, it is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC and iron it at a low temperature. Do not bleach and avoid using trichloroethylene for dry cleaning. The fabric cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, a process that allows colors to be permanently fixed to the fabric. In this process, images are first printed on special paper with sublimation inks and the fabric is heated with a heat press at a high temperature. The heat causes the ink to turn into gas and penetrate the polyester fiber of the fabric. As it cools, the gas solidifies and is fixed to the fabric, creating a resistant and durable print.
