The base fabric is a Polyester Lycra, known as Cairo 220 gr/m2, with a width of 150 cm. Its composition is 90% polyester and 10% elastane, which provides a soft and elastic texture. The solid color printed is a cornflower blue hue, with a CMYK of 53 41 2 0, which makes it a vibrant and attractive color. This secondary color can be combined with other pastel tones such as pale pink, light gray, and white, providing a relaxed and fresh atmosphere.
The fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which produces high image quality and a durable result. The base fabric and solid color are chlorine-resistant and provide very high UV protection of 50+. In addition, its elasticity allows for a wide variety of applications, such as fashion, sportswear, lingerie, swimwear, among others.
Among the attributes of the base fabric, the most common applications are the production of sportswear for women, men, and children, as they provide great comfort and resistance, as well as the production of body-type lingerie and bras. It is also used for the manufacture of tops, bikinis, and swimsuits for youth and adult fashion.
It is important to note that this fabric requires certain care in washing and drying. It should not be bleached or tumble dried. Ironing should be done at a cool temperature and dry cleaning is possible except for trichloroethylene.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, specifically for polyester fibers, which guarantees high and durable print quality. Through this process, the ink is heated and transformed into gas, penetrating the fiber permanently, which prevents it from coming off over time.
