The base fabric is Polyester Lycra - Cairo, 220 gr/m2, with a composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane. It has a width of 150 cm and an elastic, soft-to-the-touch texture. The solid color printed is a blue-lilac, a combination of cyan (65), magenta (78), yellow (27), and black (12) inks, according to CMYK 65 78 27 12. This secondary color is a blend of bluish and purple tones, providing a relaxing and balanced visual effect. It is easily combinable with neutral tones like white, grey, and black, as well as with more vibrant colors like pink, orange, and red for added dynamism.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side only using digital textile printing, which means the ink is applied directly to the fabric surface in a single pass. This technology allows for the reproduction of complex designs with great precision and detail definition.
Regarding the general characteristics of the base fabric, in addition to its elastic and soft texture, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV Protection Factor 50+. This makes it an ideal choice for sportswear, lingerie, swimwear, and high fashion apparel. The applications and uses of this fabric are diverse, including its use in sportswear for men, women, and children, lingerie, bikinis and swimsuits, as well as for making scrunchies and other knitwear.
It is important to consider some care instructions for this fabric, such as avoiding the use of bleach and not ironing at high temperatures. It is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and not to use a tumble dryer. It can also be dry cleaned, except with trichloroethylene.
Regarding printing technology, sublimation is a process by which a design is impregnated onto transfer paper with sublimation ink and transferred onto the fabric using heat and pressure in a machine called a heat press. The ink turns into gas and penetrates the pores of the fabric, allowing for greater durability and resistance to fading. This technique results in a high-quality and durable print on the fabric.
