The base fabric in question is Recycled Lycra - Recycled, a Lycra-type fabric with a composition of 85% POLYESTER and 15% ELASTANE, with a weight of 190 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on this fabric is a vibrant lime yellow, with a CMYK of 12 8 20 0. This secondary color is a yellow with a warm hue, which gives a cozy touch to any garment made with this fabric. It complements very well with other warm colors such as orange and red, as well as with shades of blue and mint green that provide a fresh contrast.
It is important to note that this fabric is digitally printed with the solid color on one side only, so its appearance is limited to that side. Its general characteristics are multiple: it is soft to the touch and elastic, which makes it ideal for sportswear and swimwear that require freedom of movement. It has a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV protection factor of 50+. In addition, this fabric has been certified and is sustainable thanks to its recycling process and its GRS certification.
Among the applications and uses of the fabric are the manufacture of scrunchies, swimwear such as bikinis and swimsuits, and fashion pieces such as swimsuits. Its Lycra composition and resistance to external agents make it very versatile for any design. As for the care that this fabric should have, it is important not to bleach it and wash it at a maximum temperature of 40°C. In addition, it cannot be dry cleaned or tumble dried, and requires ironing at a cold temperature.
Finally, the printing technology used to produce this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which consists of transferring the printed design from a film below its sublimation point, without the intervention of water or any other solvent. This technique guarantees greater definition of design details and greater durability over time. In short, Recycled Lycra - Recycled is a versatile, sustainable and resistant fabric that stands out for its attributes and applications.
