Recycled Lycra - Recycled is a lycra fabric with a composition of 85% polyester and 15% elastane, with a weight of 190 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid color printed on this fabric is an aquatic green, with a cyan ink of 63, magenta ink of 0, yellow ink of 57 and black ink of 0, which translates into a CMYK of 63 0 57 0. This color brings a feeling of freshness and tranquility to the fabric and combines especially well with neutral colors such as white and black, as well as soft shades of pink and purple. It is important to note that this fabric is printed on one side by digital textile printing, which gives it great quality and image definition.
As for the characteristics of the base fabric, we can highlight its soft feel and elasticity, as well as its resistance to chlorine, which makes it perfect for use in swimsuits and bikinis. In addition, it has a very high UV protection factor of 50+, which makes it especially suitable for use in beachwear. On the other hand, Recycled Lycra - Recycled is a sustainable fabric certified by GRS, which guarantees that it has been made from recycled materials, thus contributing to waste reduction.
As for the applications and uses of the base fabric, in addition to the aforementioned swimsuits and bikinis, it is also suitable for making hair ties and scrunchies, as well as for making fashion clothing, such as swimsuits. On the other hand, it is important to note that this fabric requires specific care for its proper maintenance, such as not bleaching, washing at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, not dry cleaning and not tumble drying. As for ironing, it is recommended to do it at a cold temperature.
Finally, Recycled Lycra - Recycled is manufactured using sublimation printing technology (polyester), which involves applying ink to special paper using an inkjet printer and then transferring the ink from the paper to the fabric using pressure and heat. This technique allows for exceptional image quality and definition, as well as great print durability.
