The Velvet Corduroy - Dublin is a fabric composed mainly of polyester and polyamide, with a slight percentage of elastane, with a weight of 280 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The plain color printed on the fabric is Orchid Pink, which is composed of a small amount of cyan ink, a large amount of magenta ink, and a medium amount of yellow ink. This color conveys a feeling of femininity, sweetness, and romanticism. It combines perfectly with neutral tones such as pearl gray, beige, and white to bring more luminosity to the ensemble.
The fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means that the color is only present on one side, and has not been dyed in the production process. The texture of the fabric is soft to the touch and its shine is moderate, which makes it suitable for different types of garments and decoration.
Among the general characteristics of the base fabric, we find its great resistance and durability, as well as its elasticity and colorfastness. Thanks to these characteristics, it is perfect for applications as diverse as furniture upholstery, cushions, winter clothing such as jackets or trousers, and accessories such as bags or backpacks.
As for the care that should be taken into account for this fabric, it is important not to bleach it and wash it at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. The garment does not admit dry washing, but it does admit a dry cleaning process, except with trichloroethylene. It should be ironed at a cool temperature and cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology with which this fabric is manufactured is sublimation (polyester), a process in which a special ink is used that transforms from a solid to a gaseous state and is fixed on the fabric by means of heat and pressure. This process guarantees the highest quality in printing and the durability of the color in the fabric.
