The base fabric, Velvety Corduroy - Dublin, is a corduroy composed of 85% polyester, 12% polyamide, 3% elastane, with a weight of 280 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The base color is a yellow peach orange printed with a CMYK of 2 12 32 0. This secondary color stands out for its warm and soft hue that evokes peace and tranquility. This shade combines very well with neutral tones such as white, beige, or pale gray, and also with darker shades such as brown, olive green, or dark gray.
The fabric is printed with a solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which allows for a faithful and sharp reproduction of the design. The fabric is not dyed, but printed on one side.
Regarding the general characteristics of the base fabric, we can highlight its soft texture to the touch and its shiny visual appearance. As for its applications and uses, it is used for upholstery of chairs, armchairs, and sofas, as well as for making trousers, overshirts, jackets, and blazers for both women and men. It is also used for creating accessories such as handbags and backpacks. Additionally, it is a good choice for making cushions for bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens, as well as for decorative baskets.
Regarding care instructions, it is advisable not to bleach the garment, wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, do not dry clean except for dry cleaning with trichloroethylene, iron at a cool temperature, and it cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation on polyester, which consists of printing the design on paper and transferring it with heat and pressure to the surface of the fabric. This guarantees high resolution of the designs and great durability of the printed color. In addition, by not using water in the printing process, the generation of toxic waste for the environment is avoided.
