Glasgow Cloth is a broadcloth fabric with a composition of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane, with a weight of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The solid printed color is Steel Rose, with a Cyan ink content of 47, Magenta ink of 80, Yellow ink of 0, and Black ink of 0. Its CMYK is 47 80 0 0.
The Steel Rose color is a warm and soft shade that evokes femininity and sweetness. Symbolically, it represents sensitivity and subtlety. Technically, it is a secondary color obtained by mixing Magenta with a small amount of Cyan. It combines particularly well with grayish and neutral colors, such as gray, white, and brown.
The base fabric is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, meaning it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. It has a soft texture to the touch and a heavy drape. The solid printed color integrates perfectly with the fabrics surface, providing a uniform and texture-free feel.
The general characteristics of the fabric are its resistance and durability, making it ideal for applications in fashion, home, and decoration. Glasgow Cloth is commonly used in altars, coats, jackets, blazers, jackets, coasters, and kitchen towels. Its season is mainly autumn and winter.
Regarding care, it is important not to bleach the fabric and wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. The garment is not suitable for dry cleaning and should be ironed at a warm temperature. It cannot be tumble dried.
Finally, the printing technology used in the fabrics manufacture is sublimation, specifically for polyester. Sublimation is a digital printing technique that uses heat to transfer ink in a gaseous state to the fabric. The result is a permanent, wear-resistant print that does not fade or peel.
