The base fabric is Glasgow cloth, mainly composed of polyester (93%), viscose (5%), and elastane (2%), with a grammage of 380 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its solid melon yellow color is achieved with a cyan ink of 2, magenta of 38, yellow of 96, and black of 0, in a CMYK of 2 38 96 0. This secondary color is soft and warm, symbolizing happiness and positive energy. It combines perfectly with neutral tones such as beige and brown, as well as with analogous tones such as orange and pink.
It is important to note that this fabric is printed with the solid color on one side by digital textile printing, which means that it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. The result is a uniform and vibrant color that stands out in any garment.
Among the general characteristics of the fabric, its softness to the touch and its resistance to use and wear stand out. It is perfect for making coats, jackets, blazers, and trench coats for both men and women, as well as for home decoration with coasters and kitchen towels. In addition, its ideal season is winter and autumn/winter 2021.
Glasgow cloth requires special care to preserve its quality and durability. It is recommended to machine wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C, iron at a warm temperature, and not use bleach. It does not allow dry cleaning or tumble drying.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is polyester sublimation, a process in which the ink transforms into gas when exposed to heat and permeates the fibers of the fabric. This guarantees an intense, durable, and uniform color throughout the entire surface of the fabric.
