The base fabric is Organic Cotton Poplin - Vienna, a poplin-type fabric with a weight of 130 gr/m2 and a composition of 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. It has a soft texture and a width of 150cm. The plain printed color is a beautiful lavender-purple, which is obtained with a combination of cyan and magenta inks with values of 11 and 9, respectively. It contains no yellow or black ink.
This lavender-purple color is very suitable for spring or summer fashion, as it conveys a fresh, floral, and cheerful feeling. It combines perfectly with pastel and warm tones such as yellows, pinks, and peaches. In addition, it can also be combined with grays and whites, to soften its intensity.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the solid color on one side only using digital textile printing. This means that it has a printed side and an unprinted side, which may have implications for the choice of piece orientation.
Organic Cotton Poplin - Vienna has general characteristics of being a soft-touch and sustainable fabric, as it is GOTS certified organic. In addition, it is versatile, as it can be used in a wide variety of applications, from womens and mens clothing such as shirts, tops, blouses, and dresses, to accessories and scarves. Its soft texture and weight make it ideal for any summer sewing project.
Regarding its care, it can be machine washed at a maximum temperature of 30ºC and bleaching is not allowed. It also admits dry cleaning, although not with the solvent trichloroethylene. It is recommended to iron at cool temperature and tumble dry at reduced temperature.
Finally, the printing technology used for the production of this fabric is DIGITAL DIRECT REACTIVE, which is used for natural fibers. This printing method uses specialized inks that chemically react with the fabric fiber and are fixed in it, which guarantees high quality and durability in the printed designs.
