The Punto Jersey Knit Fabric with Cotton Touch - Atenas is a knitted fabric composed of 81% polyester, 15% acrylic, and 4% elastane. Its weight of 239 gr/m2 and width of 150 cm make it ideal for knitwear, both for women and men, as well as for making blankets and accessories such as scarves or socks. Its plain color printed in light orange tones is achieved with a combination of 11% cyan ink, 42% magenta ink, 76% yellow ink, and 2% black ink, the resulting color being shown by the CMYK color system. Its texture and soft and elastic feel characteristic of the fabric are optimal for ensuring a pleasant sensation upon contact with the skin.
The light orange color stands out for its lively and vibrant character, suggesting a sweet and pleasant feeling. Furthermore, it is a color that is easy to combine with other shades, such as cream, coffee, or beige tones for warm shades, or blue, gray, or green tones for a fresher contrast.
The fabric in question is printed with the solid color on one side using digital textile printing, which allows for high-quality printing, with excellent definition of edges and details. Digital textile printing is not a dyeing technique, but only prints on one side of the fabric. This implies that the intensity of the color may decrease if the garment is subjected to excessive washing.
Among the general characteristics of the base fabric, its elasticity and adaptability to the body stand out, guaranteeing great comfort and freedom of movement. In addition, its softness and pleasant texture provide a high sense of comfort, ideal for everyday wear.
As for the applications and uses of the fabric, its application in the manufacture of clothing such as sweaters, tops, dresses, cardigans, and knitwear in general, as well as accessories such as socks, scarves, and foulards, stands out. It is also used in the manufacture of blankets for both the living room and the bedroom.
It is important to note that the fabric must be cared for following the manufacturers recommendations to ensure its durability and resistance. It is advised not to bleach, wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC, do not tumble dry, and iron at low temperature. If necessary, dry cleaning is possible -except with trichloroethylene-.
The printing technology used in the manufacture of this fabric is polyester sublimation. This is a technique that allows the ink to be fixed directly onto the fabric fibers through pressure and heat, guaranteeing high resistance to wear and fading. Polyester sublimation printing is an increasingly used technique in the textile market thanks to its versatility and quality.
