The base fabric is the Roma Elastic Knit - Lyon, a knit fabric with a composition of 97% polyester and 3% elastane, with a weight of 282 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its plain printed color is Mexican Pink, with a cyan ink combination of 2, magenta of 98, yellow of 6, and black of 0, representing a CMYK of 2 98 6 0. This secondary color symbolizes passion and love, and technically its base color is magenta, with a high intensity thanks to its combination with cyan. It combines very well with white and pastel shades such as light pink and light gray.
It is important to note that the fabric is digitally printed with the plain color on one side only, which means that the color is only visible on one side of the fabric, and that it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side.
The general characteristics of the base fabric are its soft texture and elasticity thanks to the elastane, which makes it ideal for fitted and comfortable clothing. In addition, its weight makes it perfect for winter garments. As for the plain color, Mexican pink is striking and vibrant, adding a touch of color to any garment it is combined with.
Among the attributes of the base fabric, its applications and uses stand out, which include knitwear for women and men such as tops, t-shirts, pants, dresses, and sweaters. It can also be used in home textiles such as dining napkins. Thanks to its elasticity and softness, it is a very pleasant fabric to the touch and comfortable to wear.
Regarding the care of the fabric, it is important not to bleach it and not to apply a temperature higher than 30ºC during washing. It can be dry cleaned except with trichloroethylene, and ironing should be done at a cool temperature. In addition, it is not suitable for tumble drying.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, specifically for polyester fabrics. This process involves transferring ink from paper to fabric using heat and pressure, allowing for precise reproduction of designs and colors. It is a widely used technique in the textile industry to achieve high-quality and durable prints.
