The base fabric is a Punto Roma Elastic - Lyon, composed of 97% polyester and 3% elastane, with a weight of 282 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. The plain color printed on the fabric is a combination of pink and purple-pink, with a CMYK of 24 54 19 2 and Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks. This secondary color is a perfect fusion between the delicacy of pink and the intensity of purple, which evokes a sense of sweetness, femininity, and power. Furthermore, it combines well with neutral tones such as white, gray, and black, as well as with other pastel colors such as yellow, blue, and green.
It is important to note that the base fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side. This digital printing technique allows for high image quality and great precision in details, resulting in a vibrant and long-lasting color on the fabric.
Regarding the general characteristics of the base fabric, we can say that it is soft to the touch and has a pleasant texture, thanks to the blend of polyester and elastane. It is perfect for knitted garments, such as t-shirts, sweaters, pants, dresses, as well as for home textiles such as table napkins. In addition, being an elastic fabric, it offers great comfort and flexibility of use.
Regarding the care instructions for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach and to wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. Likewise, it allows dry cleaning except trichloroethylene, cold ironing, and cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is polyester sublimation. This process consists of printing the image on transfer paper, which is placed on the fabric, and heat and pressure are applied for the ink to transfer to the fabric. The ink turns into gas due to the heat and penetrates the polyester fibers, resulting in a vivid and long-lasting color on the fabric. Polyester sublimation is a very popular printing technique for sports fabrics, flags, and promotional items.
