The base fabric, Satin - Amsterdam, is a 120 gr/m2 polyester satin, with a width of 150 cm and care instructions that include no bleaching, a maximum washing temperature of 40ºC, and warm ironing. This fabric is ideal for a wide variety of fashion applications, from shirts to wedding dresses, and its season is timeless autumn/winter 2021. The plain printed color is a light salmon-pink, represented in CMYK as 0 47 51 0. The color is bright when viewed, while to the touch it gives a smooth and thin sensation, inherent characteristics of the base fabric.
Symbolically, the light salmon-pink color conveys a feeling of warmth, softness, and romanticism, evoking images of sunsets and nature in spring. Technically, this color is composed of 47% magenta and 51% yellow, perfectly combining with earth tones such as browns, beige, and grays, as well as with other pastel tones. It is important to note that this fabric is printed with the plain color on one side by digital textile printing, which means it is not a dyed fabric but printed on one side, giving it an impeccable appearance.
Among the general characteristics of the base fabric, its visual shine and silky touch stand out, making it perfect for fashion garments that require a soft and fluid texture. As for the printed color, its brightness and smoothness to the touch make it an ideal component in the creation of delicate garments and decorative details for special events.
The Satin - Amsterdam fabric is very versatile in terms of applications and uses. Some of them can be for making blouses, shirts, kimonos, skirts, pants, tops, accessories, and pajamas. In addition, it is a popular choice for lingerie and wedding dresses. Its ability to flow and reflect light elegantly makes it perfect for creating evening wear and formal events.
To keep this fabric in perfect condition, it is important to consider the care instructions that must be followed. Washing should be done at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, ironing at a warm temperature, and tumble drying at a reduced temperature is allowed. In addition, this fabric allows dry cleaning, except for trichloroethylene.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, which involves the transfer of ink in a gaseous state, allowing the ink to penetrate deeply into the fabric fibers. This process produces detailed prints with vibrant colors that resist wear. In addition, sublimation is an environmentally friendly technique, as it does not use water or chemicals in its process.
