The base fabric is a cotton sateen called White Satin, a soft and thin fabric made of 100% cotton with a weight of 168 gr/m2. The plain printed color is a light blue that reflects a clear sky day, with a CMYK of 57 20 10 0 and cyan, magenta, and yellow inks. This secondary color combines well with pastel colors, soft grays, and whites. It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the plain color on one side only using digital textile printing.
The fabrics characteristics include its softness to the touch and its thinness. In addition, it is a lightweight fabric that drapes well and is ideal for summer garments such as shirts, dresses, and skirts. It can also be used for bedding such as pillowcases and sheets.
To maintain the quality of the fabric, it is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 30º C and not to use bleach. In addition, it can be dry cleaned with the exception of trichloroethylene and ironed at a warm temperature. It can also be tumble dried at a reduced temperature.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is reactive direct digital. This process involves the direct application of inks to the fabric surface, which are fixed through a vaporization and fusion process into the fiber, resulting in a durable and high-quality print. It is important to note that this printing process only covers one side of the fabric, which means that the back is the natural white color of the cotton sateen.
