The Athens Cotton-Feel Jersey Knit fabric has a composition of 81% POLYESTER, 15% ACRYLIC, and 4% ELASTANE, offering a soft and elastic texture to the touch. This fabric comes in a weight of 239 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, available for use in various applications such as lingerie, fashion, knitwear, accessories, among others. In addition, its printed design, available in Mosaic, Modern Art, and Illustration styles, features circles and polka dots in multiple main colors, allowing it to be combined with solid tones such as black, white, and different shades of blue, green, and pink.
The fabric is printed with the design on one side only, so it is recommended that when making the piece, the reverse side of the fabric be used for the design to look as desired. The fabric has a soft and elastic texture, which makes it ideal for making body-hugging garments without sacrificing comfort. The printed design gives the fabric a modern and striking look, perfect for making fashion garments that seek to stand out.
Among the applications and uses of this fabric, highlights include the making of garments such as jerseys, tops, dresses, and cardigans; it can also be used in accessories such as socks, scarves, and foulards. In addition, its texture makes it optimal for making blankets in different rooms of the home.
To keep the fabric in optimal condition, it is recommended to wash it with water at a maximum temperature of 30ºC without using bleach. It can be ironed at low temperature and allows dry cleaning except with trichloroethylene. Tumble drying is not recommended.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester). This process uses special inks that turn into gas when heated, thus penetrating the fibers of the fabric and creating a durable and wash-resistant print. This results in a vibrant and high-quality printed design, a characteristic that is appreciated in the Athens Cotton-Feel Jersey Knit fabric.
