Recycled Lycra is a 190 gr/m2 fabric composed of 85% polyester and 15% elastane. This lycra fabric is characterized by being soft and elastic to the touch. In addition, it is chlorine resistant and has a high UV protection factor of 50+. The printed design presented in this fabric with sublimation technology stands out for its artistic style of abstract brushstrokes and multicolor main colors. This design is characterized by diagonal shapes and a simple complexity. To combine this design, plain fabrics in blue, green, or fuchsia tones could be used.
Recycled Lycra is a suitable fabric for bikinis, swimsuits, hair ties, and scrunchies due to its high elasticity and UV protection. In addition, it is also durable, which makes it ideal for long-lasting garments.
It is important to be careful when washing this fabric, as it does not allow the use of bleach or dry cleaning. The maximum washing temperature is 40ºC and it should be ironed at a cool temperature. In addition, its use with tumble dryers is not recommended.
The printing technology used for this fabric is sublimation, an ink transfer process in which heat and pressure are applied to adhere the ink to the fabric permanently and with high quality. The fabric is printed on one side by digital textile printing.
