The Polyester Lycra fabric - Nairobi is an elastic fabric with a weight of 270 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its composition is 82% polyester and 18% elastane, which gives it great elasticity and resistance to use. This fabric is designed with digital textile printing using the sublimation technique and is printed on one side. The stamped design stands out for its simple complexity with an artistic, drawn and decorative style, inspired by painting and focused on home decoration. The main colors are multi-color and could combine perfectly with plain colors such as white, black, beige or blue.
The characteristics of this fabric are those of an elastic lycra with a soft texture and feel. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UPF protection factor of 50+, which makes it an ideal option for sportswear and swimwear. It is also suitable for the manufacture of lingerie, tights, leggings and leotards. Due to its attributes and characteristics, this fabric is timeless and can be used at any time of the year.
As for the care required for this fabric, it is important not to bleach it, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and not use a tumble dryer. In addition, dry cleaning is allowed except with trichloroethylene. Ironing should be at a cold temperature to avoid damaging the printed design and the elasticity of the fabric.
Finally, the printing technology used in the manufacture of this fabric is sublimation on polyester, which allows for great definition and durability of the printed design. This technique consists of printing the design on transfer paper with sublimatic ink and then transferring it to the fabric using heat and pressure, thus ensuring the fixation of colors and the intensity of the design.
