Twill - Prada

The base fabric of this garment is a twill called Twill - Prada. Its composition is 96% polyester and 4% elastane, which gives it a soft and thin texture. It has a weight of 220 gr/m2 with a width of 150 cm, making it suitable for summer garments such as shirts, skirts, blouses, dresses, and accessories like scarves. The printed design is characterized by a tropical complexity with a graphic pattern, botanical and decorative elements that represent flora in which artistic and pictorial flowers, mostly roses, stand out against a multicolored background. The combination with solid colors would be varied; brown, yellow, blue, or pink tones could be used. This fabric is printed with the design on one side using digital textile printing.

In terms of general characteristics, twill is characterized by a diagonal structure that gives it greater resistance and durability. In addition, the presence of elastane provides a certain elasticity that favors adaptability to the body. The design is printed using sublimation technology, which allows for a wide variety of colors with high definition and sharpness of details.

Regarding applications and uses, in addition to those already mentioned, we could add the making of jackets or mid-season trousers. The fabric adapts to both fitted and loose-fitting garments, which opens up various design possibilities.

As for the care this fabric requires, it is necessary to avoid using bleaches and subjecting it to temperatures not exceeding 30ºC. Ironing at low temperature and dry cleaning, except with trichloroethylene, are recommended. It is also suggested not to use a tumble dryer.

Finally, it should be noted that this fabric is manufactured using sublimation printing technology. This technique consists of printing the design on special paper which, when subjected to high temperatures and pressure, transfers the image to the fabric through a process of pigment evaporation, which guarantees high quality of the print and great durability over time.
