The fabric in question is a cloth called Glasgow, composed mainly of polyester with an addition of viscose and elastane. Its weight of 380 gr/m2 makes it a thick and resistant fabric, perfect for making garments for the winter and autumn/winter 2021 season. In addition, its width of 150 cm and its diverse applications, such as coats, jackets, bomber jackets, and blazers, make it a versatile fabric adaptable to different designs.
The printed design on this fabric is an explosion of tropical and botanical color. With standard complexity, we find leaves, pictorial and artistic flowers, transporting us to an exuberant jungle. The main colors are multicolor, allowing the fabric to be combined with different solid tones. This design is printed on one side by digital textile printing, which guarantees exceptional quality and sharpness.
Regarding its characteristics, Glasgow is a soft fabric to the touch, providing unparalleled comfort. In addition, it offers great resistance and durability, making it an excellent choice for any project. As for the printed design, its complexity and tropical and botanical style make it perfect for fashion garments with an exotic and vibrant touch.
Regarding the applications and uses of this fabric, in addition to those mentioned above, it would also be perfect for making home textiles, such as coasters or kitchen towels.
It is important to note the care that should be taken for this fabric, as it is recommended not to bleach it, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, iron at a warm temperature, and not tumble dry it. Also, the garment does not allow dry cleaning.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation on polyester. This technique consists of printing on a special paper base with sublimation inks and then transferring the image with heat and pressure to the fabric. In this way, exceptional image quality and perfect color fixation are achieved.
