Se trata de un tejido con relieve y al ser impreso presenta fuerza de color en las fibras más externas quedando en su color natural las fibras internas. Puede presentar pequeñas trazas, hilos o borra dada su naturaleza reciclada y cuya aparición, aunque se de en un % bajo de ocasiones, es totalmente arbitraria e inevitable. |
Tweed-Chanel fabric is a stiff fabric with a noticeable texture to the touch, composed of 100% polyester. It has a grammage of 420g/m2, a width of 150cm, and is resistant to bleach. The printed design features square shapes, typical of Vichy, in a fun and original multicolored pattern. The main colors of this design are a grapefruit green and a pastel pink. The fabric is printed on one side, and we could combine it with any other solid tone that blends with this chromatic mix. It would even be wise to choose some basic garment with one of the two main colors to give more prominence to the printed fabric.
As for the applications or uses of Tweed-Chanel fabric, they are very varied. It is mainly used for fashion, for both men and women, in the making of jackets, blazers, coats, skirts, dresses, blousons/vests, shorts/bermudas, bow ties, caps, and even sports vests for men, women, and children. In turn, it is also used in the decoration of cushions for living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens, for both interiors and exteriors. In short, the versatility of this fabric is wide thanks to its characteristics and applications.
It is important to mention some specific care instructions that we must take into account when treating Tweed-Chanel fabric. It is not recommended to use bleach and it should be washed at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. Dry cleaning is allowed except with trichloroethylene, ironing at a cold temperature and avoiding tumble drying.
Finally, it should be noted that this fabric is manufactured using sublimation printing technology. This technology allows the image to be printed on the surface of the fabric by applying heat and pressure, obtaining a high-quality and durable finish. Thanks to this printing process, the printed design does not fade or wear out easily, and resists the passage of time and washing.
