The fabric we are discussing is Glasgow Cloth, weighing 380 gr/m2 and with a width of 150 cm, composed of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane. Its design is printed using sublimation technology with an abstract motif of colorful splotches in a modern painting and Chinoiserie style with standard complexity. The main colors of its design are multicolor, which provides great versatility to combine it with plain fabrics in different shades.
The result is a soft-touch fabric with an elegant texture. The fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side. The printed design creates a contrast between the multicolored splotches and the fabrics ecru background. As for its applications, this type of fabric is ideal for making winter coats, jackets, blazers, bomber jackets, or vests, or even dining coasters or kitchen towels.
This fabric requires specific care to maintain its quality, such as no bleaching, no dry cleaning, ironing at a warm temperature, and avoiding tumble drying. Furthermore, due to its high weight and composition, attention must be paid during washing to prevent deformation or loss of color.
Finally, the printing technology used is sublimation with polyester, a process that uses heat and pressure to transfer the design to the fabric, producing a high-quality and durable result in terms of color fixation and sharpness of the printed design.
