The Recycled Lycra fabric is a 190 gr/m2 fabric composed mainly of polyester (85%) and elastane (15%). Its name already indicates its sustainability, as it is made from recycled materials. This lycra fabric is soft to the touch and elastic, making it perfect for sportswear such as bikinis and swimsuits. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and offers high UV protection of factor 50+.
The printed design of this fabric is characterized by its pictorial and abstract style, with abstract shapes that give it a modern touch. The main colors of the design are cotton white, platinum gray and angel blue. These colors combine perfectly with other plain tones such as black, light pink or navy blue.
It is important to note that this fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side only. This means that the design is only on one side of the fabric, not on both sides.
Regarding the general characteristics, these are one of the main advantages of this fabric. Its softness and elasticity make it very comfortable to wear, in addition to having a chlorine-resistant finish and offering high UV protection. The combination of lycra and recycled materials also makes it a sustainable option.
Regarding the applications and uses of this fabric, in addition to those mentioned above (bikinis and swimsuits), it can also be used for making hair ties and scrunchies. Its versatility allows it to adapt to different styles and occasions.
Regarding the care of this fabric, it is important to avoid bleaching and dry cleaning. It is recommended to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC and iron at a cool temperature. In addition, it cannot be tumble dried.
The printing technology used in this fabric is sublimation (polyester). This printing technique allows for a high level of detail and durability, as the colors and designs merge directly into the fabric fiber. This ensures that the design remains intact even after multiple washes.
