The Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo is a high-quality elastic fabric, with a composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane. With a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm, this fabric is ideal for sportswear, lingerie, fashion, and swimwear.
The printed design of this fabric has an artistic and colorful style, with a graphic pattern that includes star shapes and elements of nature, such as water and coral. The main colors of the design are Pearl Pink, Cadillac Pink, and Camouflage Green. These colors are combined in a balanced way, creating a vibrant and striking print. In addition, this design can be combined with plain colors such as white, black, and navy blue.
It is important to note that this fabric is printed on one side only using digital textile printing. This means that the design is on the outside of the fabric, while the inside is a solid color. This characteristic offers versatility when designing garments, as the print can be played with in specific areas.
Regarding general characteristics, Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo is known for its soft and elastic texture, which makes it very comfortable to wear. In addition, it has a chlorine-resistant finish and offers very high UV protection (UPF 50+), which makes it ideal for swimwear.
As for the applications and uses of this fabric, apart from those mentioned above, it is very common to use it in the manufacture of bras, tops, and accessories such as scrunchies. Its elasticity and resistance make it a perfect option for durable and comfortable knit garments.
In relation to the care that should be taken into account for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach it and to wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC. In addition, it can be dry cleaned, avoiding the use of trichloroethylene. To iron it, a cold temperature should be used, and it should not be tumble dried.
The printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester). This process consists of transferring the design through heat and pressure, which guarantees high quality and durability in the print. This technique allows vibrant colors and precise details to be captured on the fabric.
